Your story on Swellnet Don't say Kirra is back is RIGHT. 30 Years ago when I was a bit younger I had a trip up the coast. Burleigh was the furtherest we got and on the way back we got KIRRA solid 6FT plus with oil smooth faces and pitching one lip from out the back all the way to the beach. I might be wrong but I think I had ridden one of the most unique boards to grace Kirras faces. A 6'9 Aragorn Pintail Shaped by the master himself MP for Bali I believe. After making 3 of the heaviest waves I have experienced to this day, all the way from out the back and a hoot from Rabs on the last one, I decided to get out as a mark of respect as I saw some thrashings of guys who couldn't make the drop. The saddest thing is though I have no idea where that board is now.
Hey Mick, I didn't write that story, I just supplied the photo's... also if you read the story it doesn't say that Kirra is back, it say's it showing glimpses of its former glory. Kirra is not back, not by a long shot.
